Señora Camelia , a native Spanish speaker from Puerto Rico, is always ready with a smile for our Primary East children. Through food, celebration, song and the spoken word the children experience Spanish culture with Señora Camelia.
Señora Camelia moved to Fort Lauderdale after receiving her bachelors degree in Accounting. A Certified Public Accountant, she eventually got married and stayed home with her children.
Her love for children began when she was young and started tutoring and working at summer camps. It increased when she learned about the Montessori method. Since then she has attended various Montessori workshops and undertaken training in early childhood education. She loves helping the children and assisting in their development.
